Temporary comforts is a conceptual project based around our notions of comfort and our access to objects of comfort. The project consists of a chair with a cushion made from sodium acetate, the same material found in liquid hand warmers. Acting in the same manner as these hand warmers, once activated the cushion turns from cold liquid to a warm solid material that shapes to the users position. This process is only temporary, however, as the cushion will eventually cool down and will need to be reset.
